The days when we used to fight huge elephants

from Music for Diffident Rebels by Space King Battery

about

I'm on a safari with David Bowie; our jeep has been without fuel for a week, our bodies without water for three days. The sun bears down on us like some greasy fatass' bastard child burning ants on the playground, no remorse, no justice. Ziggy Stardust and I have no delusions, for this really is our last dance. Then, the earth trembles beneath our tattered combat boots, like the Devil himself had just woke up from a bad nap. Our camp is eaten up by the shadow of a million bellowing beasts as they thunder towards us, insatiable on their quest for the damnation of all that peaceful... their music is the tortured screams of Mother Nature, twisted like a drunkard's banjo to play the purest sound of horrific ecstasy. I look at Bowie; Bowie looks at me. He pulls out his keytar; I brandish my Beam Katana and grin. For those were the days of Hannibal's Phantasmagoria... the days when we used to fight huge elephants.
